Minister Rev. Bill Gupton
Rev. Bill Gupton lives in Anderson Township with his wife, Jennifer Sanders, and their son, Patrick Sanders. Bill was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist parish ministry by the UU Congregation of Atlanta, on Father’s Day in 1996, after graduating with an M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Ca. He has served UU congregations in Tulsa (Okla.), Oakland (Calif.), Columbus (Ohio), North Olmsted (Ohio), and now Cincinnati. Heritage Church called him as its minister in April, 2002. Bill is a native of Tennessee, has traveled to every one of the 48 contiguous states and seven foreign countries, and enjoys watching sports, listening to music and practicing yoga. He is currently studying and teaching Anusara-Inspired Yoga®.

Director of Religious Education Hollie Johnson
Hollie Johnson was hired as our Director of Religious Education in August 2007. Her background includes nine years of teaching experience in Kentucky and North Carolina, experiential education work as an assistant camp director for seven years in Michigan, and a graduate degree in Education Administration from Xavier University. When she is not involved in planning the Religious Education program at HUUC, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, each of whom bring tremendous joy and balance into her life. They are members of Heritage Church, and happy to be part of such a welcoming, family-centered community. Learn more about our Religious Education Program for Children. |

Music Director Matthew Quick
Matt Quick became our Music Director in February 2008. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Matt moved to Cincinnati in the fall to enter the Master’s of Music program at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory Of Music. He holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in piano performance from Vanderbilt University, having graduated summa cum laude. At Vanderbilt, Matt won the Vanderbilt Concerto Competition, was elected to a spot on the National Dean’s List, was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, and was awarded Vanderbilt’s David Rabin Prize for excellence in musical performance. Some of Matt’s other music-related experience includes conducting, choral singing, performing at nursing homes, and performing abroad. In the winter of 2006-07, he played piano for the Vanderbilt Orchestra as they toured China. Last summer, he traveled to Lucca, Italy, to work and perform with opera students.

Church Administrator Denise Martinez
Denise Martinez began working for Heritage in July 2002. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in both Business Administration and Information Systems. Her business background includes Computer Specialist with NIOSH, IT Systems Analyst for Cincinnati Bell and Computer Training Specialist, teaching Basic Language, Robotics, CAD and computer repair, as well as, a multitude of software packages. Denise lived in Northern Kentucky until 1984. She now lives in Anderson Township with her husband, son and daughter.
