Proxy Bidding

Not going to be able to attend this year’s auction?  No problem.  This year, we’re offering you the opportunity to assign a proxy bidder.

How does it work?  Prior to the auction date, you indicate the items that you are interested in bidding on and the maximum bid for each item that you have authorized.  Then, the night of the auction, a member of the Auction Committee will be assigned to serve as your proxy bidder, entering your bids, beginning at the minimum bid amount, and raising other’s bids by $2.  They will continue to bid up to the amount that you have set as a maximum, or until the item is won.

Please note that proxy bids are considered binding, and you will be liable to purchase any item that you have listed on the proxy bidding form.  You will be notified via email of items that you have won.  Payment by cash or check will be due, payable to HUUC, by November 1, 2008.
