Some of our most memorable faith-development experiences happen outside the regular Sunday routine. Heritage offers special programs that give children and youth opportunities to build community, explore important values, and learn in deeper, more immersive ways.
Learning and practicing the work of peace
Peace Camp helps children explore cooperation, compassion, conflict resolution, justice, and ways they can help create a more peaceful world.
Celebrating identity, belonging, and love
Pride Camp creates a welcoming space for children and youth to explore identity, inclusion, self-expression, and what it means to build communities where everyone is valued and affirmed.
Honest, age-appropriate learning about relationships and sexuality
Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a comprehensive sexuality education program developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. It offers accurate, developmentally appropriate information while helping participants explore values, relationships, identity, consent, responsibility, and respect.
Programs are offered for different age groups at different times.
A fall tradition for children, youth, and families
Our annual Fall Fest welcomes children and families from the wider community to Heritage for an evening of games, bounce houses, face painting, and other activities.
Older youth often take on leadership roles, including helping prepare the spooky trail and serving as its enthusiastic “scarers.”
Throughout the year, children and youth may also take part in retreats, service projects, seasonal gatherings, intergenerational programs, and other special events.
