Connecting our values with the work of others

Heritage’s justice commitments extend beyond our congregation. We learn from, support, and sometimes partner with organizations working locally, nationally, and internationally for justice, peace, human rights, and equity.

Our members and friends are active in many causes and organizations. This page highlights some of the wider networks and community partners connected with Heritage’s values and justice work.

Unitarian Universalist Justice Organizations

Side With Love

A Unitarian Universalist organizing campaign supporting justice, equity, and collective action.

Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC)

Advancing human rights and social justice in partnership with communities around the world.

Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio (UUJO)

A statewide network serving Unitarian Universalist congregations and fellowships across Ohio through education, advocacy, public witness, and action grounded in UU values and in solidarity with marginalized communities.

Community Partners & Coalitions

Inter Parish Ministry Food Pantry

Heritage has a longstanding relationship with Inter Parish Ministry, which works to address food insecurity in our community. We collect food, support IPM through outreach offerings, and many Heritage members volunteer there.

Found House Interfaith Hospitality Network

Found House provides shelter and support for families experiencing homelessness. Heritage supports its work through outreach offerings, and members periodically volunteer overnight alongside people from other Unitarian Universalist congregations.

Greater Anderson Promotes Peace

A local organization working to build peace, understanding, and stronger community relationships in the greater Anderson Township area.

Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati (MARCC)

An interfaith coalition bringing religious communities together around education and advocacy on issues affecting the Cincinnati region, including housing, immigration, community safety, and justice reform.

Sharing Our Abundance

Each week, Heritage shares its Sunday offering with an outside nonprofit or community organization.
Through Sharing Our Abundance, the congregation supports organizations doing work in areas such as hunger, housing, justice, education, human rights, environmental care, and community well-being.
