Connecting people, concerns, and opportunities for action

Heritage’s Social Justice Collaborative brings together members and friends who care about a wide range of justice issues.

The Collaborative is not a traditional committee and does not try to direct everyone toward the same priorities. Instead, participants share information, learn from one another, connect people with opportunities for action, and support one another’s efforts.

Areas of Interest

Depending on the interests of participants, the Collaborative may share information and opportunities related to:

  • racial justice;
  • LGBTQ+ inclusion;
  • immigration;
  • economic equity;
  • housing and homelessness;
  • climate and environmental justice;
  • Indigenous peoples;
  • human rights;
  • democracy and governmental reform;
  • other issues members care about.

How It Works

People can participate at different levels. Some may simply want to stay informed. Others may join an event, support a community partner, attend a rally or vigil, write to elected officials, or help organize an effort around an issue they care about.

The goal is not for everyone to do the same thing. It is to help people find meaningful ways to live their values — and to know they do not have to do that work alone.
