Ministry is something we share.

Heritage is led and sustained by a partnership of professional staff, elected leaders, and members and friends who offer their time, gifts, creativity, and care to the life of the congregation.

Our minister and staff provide leadership in worship, faith development, music, administration, engagement, communications, and congregational care. Our elected Board provides governance and stewardship. And throughout Heritage, people teach, lead worship, make music, care for one another, organize justice work, welcome newcomers, tend our building and grounds, and make community happen.

Together, we share the work of ministry.

Shared Ministry at Heritage

Some of the most important ministry at Heritage is carried by people who do not have a staff title.

Members and friends lead worship, teach children and adults, provide music, offer care, organize gatherings, advocate for justice, welcome newcomers, maintain our spaces, serve on teams, and bring new ideas to life.

Shared ministry means recognizing that everyone has gifts to offer — and that the life of the congregation is stronger when responsibility, creativity, and leadership are shared.

How We Govern

Heritage is governed by its members. The congregation elects its Board of Trustees, calls its minister, approves major decisions, and entrusts much of the ongoing work of the church to its Board, staff, teams, and ministries.
